Scott’s Bodywork Style

Welcome! I am Scott and I have practiced Intuitive Bodywork since 2004. I am a Board Certified Massage Therapist, specializing in functional Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, CranioSacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage Therapy, and Reiki

Each of my sessions blends several modalities, most often focused on relaxing fascia and muscular tension, gentle traction, lymphatic stimulating strokes, reflexology strokes, passive and active stretching. 

My goal is to help my clients relieve active pain, increase range of motion, relax tense areas of the body, and help them to increase their body awareness.  While I frequently use deeper pressure, the intention is to play the edge of “hurts so good” so that the session remains relaxing for the client as well as rejuvenating.

About Scott:

I began practicing massage at the earthwalk Center for Wholeness when we opened in early 2005.  Since completing my initial training at the Baltimore School of Massage, I have also received attunements of Usui Reiki, training in Integrative Reflexology, and completed an intense 108-hour training program with the Bruno Chikly method of Lymph Drainage Therapy.  In addition, I have received training in Prenatal Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and Kinesiotaping.

Using my training and experience built on over 10,000 hours of hands-on bodywork I personalized my sessions for each client and each session.  Using an ongoing dialogue with clients, my goal is to for each session to give my clients specifically what is needed at the time of each session.

I fully understand that when receiving bodywork, when you are on the table, you are in a vulnerable position and have someone placing their hands on most areas of the body. I strive to create a safe and judgment-free zone for every client.

Through my two decades as a body worker I have worked with a large range of clients – from the ages of 14 to 85, the full spectrum of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals of every gender identity, and nearly every body type. Everyone is treated with the same level of respect and care and receives the same healing touch.
